Born in Littletown, Pa., Anna moved to Central Florida in 1922. She was a member of Rosalind Club, Junior League and the Country Club of Orlando. She was a member of Cathedral Church of St. Luke. Survivors: sons, Frederick B. Jr., Topeka, Kan., David A., Orlando; brother, David B. Alleman, Santa Rosa, Calif.; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Frederick Burton "Anna" Smith was also a member of the Third Friday Book Club - the longest running book club in the history of Central Florida! She is first found in the club minutes in the 1955 member list and according to the 1977-1978 member list "Resigned Jan. 1977." Mrs. Smith is last mentioned in the May 2000 club minutes: "A memorial gift was sent to the Orlando Public Library for Anna Smith, a former member of this club."
