Jerri-Ellen Walker Bradshaw was called home to her Heavenly Father, Tuesday, December 1, 2015, after a very courageous battle with different ailments. Jerri was born September 8, 1946 in Sanford, Florida to Charles Kennedy Walker & Carol Elinor Cox. She was the oldest of 5 children. Jerri spent most of her childhood in Ely, McGill and Ruth, Nevada and then as a teenager the family moved to the Denver Area, where at age of 16, Jerri was baptized a member of the LDS church. Upon graduating from Denver South High School, she attended Mesa College in Grand Junction, CO for a short time before going to cosmetology school. Jerri moved on blind faith to Provo, Utah where she met wonderful life-long friends, and was soon introduced to her husband, Karl Woodbury Bradshaw. Karl and Jerri were married November 11, 1978 and then sealed in the St George Temple on November 10, 1979. Jerri was blessed when she joined Karl’s family with 3 of Karl’s children. Lynnette (Tracy) Keel of Fillmore, UT, Leanne (Mathew) Hahne of Lincoln, NE and David Karl (Mella) of St. Johns, AZ. She was also blessed to add 2 more children to the family, Amber (Rick) Evans of Stansbury Park, UT and Tyler (Nicole) Bradshaw of Cedar City, UT. Many know that Jerri was an avid reader, playwright, poet and an active member in her LDS Faith. She was a very kind hearted, compassionate, caring (just to name a few traits) woman that you had the pleasure to meet and call your friend. She was most passionate about her calling as a mother, a wife and a grandmother. She was also very passionate of all her “Adoptive” children. They were her kids, too, and always knew if they needed a meal or to talk, her door was always open. Jerri was also very passionate about her callings she has had over the years with the church, and the joy she felt in helping others. Jerri was preceded in death by her brother Ronald Walker, her parents Charles and Carol, her sister Toni Walker and her grandparents. She is survived by her husband Karl, 5 children & spouses, 17 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and one on the way. She is also survived by her brothers Donald (Jane) Walker and Kerry (Cheryl) Walker. Jerri was a very special woman who always had a smile, no matter what was going on in her life, and touched the lives of so many around her. She will be missed greatly, but we will be able to see her again on the other side. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the 17th Ward Chapel (256 South 900 West, Cedar City, UT). A viewing will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Southern Utah Mortuary (190 North 300 West, Cedar City, UT). A viewing will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 11:30-12:30 pm at the church. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
