Lois "Renee" Davis of Minersville, Utah passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2015 in Beaver, Utah.
Renee was born in Cedar City, Utah on October 17, 1927 to Cecil Clair Adams and Margaretta McConnell Adams. She graduated from Cedar High School in 1945 and was then a student at Southern Utah University for a time. She married Billie Rehnay Davis on July 5, 1957 in the St. George, Utah LDS Temple.
Renee was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to teach, and served in the Primary, Relief Society and Sunday School organizations. She was diligent in studying her scriptures and enjoyed doing genealogy and family history work.
Spending time with family was important to Renee. She loved getting together, especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Renee was very family oriented. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and playing the piano. She also made beautiful porcelain dolls as well as the doll clothes for them.
Renee is survived by 3 sons, Rory (Barbara) Terry of Hayes, Kansas, Hugh (Denise) Terry of Kearns, Utah, James Davis of Las Vegas, Nevada, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Jane (Gail) Bradshaw of Cedar City, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband Billie Davis, her father Cecil Adams and her mother Margaretta “Madge” Adams.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 12:00 pm at the Minersville LDS Stake Center. A viewing will be held on Sunday December 6, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Church, and again at the Church on Monday from 10:30-11:30 am. Interment will be in the Minersville Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Online condolences can be made at www.sumortuary.com.
