Mae Ridenour, 73, of Piqua went to be with her Lord on Monday, May 4, 2015, at 7:59 a.m. at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit, Troy. She was born on March 4, 1942, in Huntsville, Tenn., to the late Virgil and Versie (Burress) Cross. She married Tom Ridenour on June 10, 1977, in Piqua. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2003.

Mae is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: James and Sharon Green, Piqua, David and Pat Green, Wilson, Okla., Rick Green and fiance Shelley Schwegler, Troy; one daughter and son-in-law: Teresa and Mike Jess, Piqua; two brothers: Junior Cross, Huntsville, Tenn., Bill Cross, Michigan; three sisters: Ruth Adams, Paducah, Ky., Fran Waterman, Paducah, Ky., Jill Adkins, Holland, Mich.; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter: Pat Birt, two brothers: Winford Cross, Gene Cross, and two sisters: Vone Butler and Onlee Stevens.

Mae was a member of the Crossroads Church of God Mountain Assembly in Piqua. She was a devoted homemaker and mother.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 8, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at the Crossroads Church of God Mountain Assembly, 9330 Looney Road, Piqua, with the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua.
