Orlando's senior citizens, the homeless and others in need of a Good Samaritan have lost a friend and provider.

Virginia Collins Bryan , a volunteer for numerous civic and church organizations, died Monday at Orlando Regional Medical Center from complications of Parkinson's disease. She was 69.

Friends and family on Tuesday remembered Grace Warlow Barr as a vivacious, fun-loving woman who was a gracious hostess, a good cook and a loving mother and friend. Barr, of 1600 W. Ivanhoe Blvd. in Orlando, died Tuesday after a long illness. She was 86.

Eunice Mae Counts

Eunice Mae Counts, age 77 years, entered eternal life July 1, 2005 in Tulsa, OK. She was born February 9, 1928 in Wymore, NE, to Floyd and Gladys (Sprague) Philippi. Eunice married the love of her life, Earl N. Counts, April 10, 1948 in Tulsa. She was a wonderful homemaker and longtime member of Metro Faith Christian Church. She always had ice cream at her house for her beloved grandchildren and she never stopped waving from the porch until you were out of sight.

Harry Edwin Behnamann

Harry Edwin Behnamann was born in Sigourney, Iowa, on March 17, 1892. His parents were Louis Diedrich Behnamann (born 2 August 1871) and Bertha Elizabeth Gann (born 28 October 1871 in Germany). He had one brother Alfred Leo who never married but worked for the railroad.

Harry's father Louis was labeled a laborer (plowshare) in the 1900 census, and worked in the Rock Island Arsenal in 1910.

MOUNDVILLE Ruth Kate Strickland Barks, age 87, of Moundville, died March 8, 2011, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Jerry Koster officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Friday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Barks, a sister Catherine Farley; two brothers Clyde Strickland and Ray Strickland; and her parents.

Grace Marie (Reicherter) Behnamann was born in Silver Lake, Kansas, on August 29, 1897. Her parents were Albert F. Reicherter (born 23 October 1857) and Emma Eugenia Cones (born 5 December 1870). She was the second of five sisters with a youngest brother: Lavergne Eugenia, Faye, Ethel Louise, Doris, and Albert Otto.

Rodger Benton Wood was born in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, on February 2, 1929. His parents were Clinton Webster Wood (born 9 November 1899) and Gladys Evelyn Hippler (born 27 September 1902). He had three younger brothers, Clinton Wood, Jr., John Willis Wood, and James Hancock Wood, who all preceded him in death.

Rodger's father Clinton Wood worked for Phil Wood Industries, Ltd., in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, where he met Rodger's mother Gladys Hippler.

Private burial will be held in Pate Cemetery with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to services at the funeral home.

Phillip was a member of The Tuscaloosa Police Dept and was a K-9 officer for a while . He was married and had two children.

Funereal services were to be today at 2 p.m. at the Asbury Methodist Church 15 miles northeast of Columbus Miss, on the Vernon Road. The Rev. Charles Heltman and the Rev. Brannon Pinion were to officiate. Burial was to be in the church cemetery with Memory Chapel Funeral Home directing.
