Mom's favorite book was the Bible, and all who knew her could see that in the way she lived and served and treated others. After 20 years we still talk of the good things she taught us, the funny songs she played and sang for us, and the service she gave to so many. She was truly a Christ-like example in all our lives. Her love of family was always evident, and she welcomed so many into our home and made them feel like family too.

There are so many great stories to tell, and songs to sing.... She taught me to play piano, and as I was the youngest I think she worked longer at it with me than Susan or my brothers. And she would sit and play and sing for me and with me, and I think that helped me not give up when I wanted to. I remember her playing "Kitten on the Keys", which she knew by heart, and it was so hard I never did learn to play it! and she taught me to play some of the old sheet music we had, like "My Buddy", "San Antonio Rose", "Blue Moon", and others. And sometimes she and Dad would sit and play and sing together too......those were my favorite times.
