He married Carol Ann Peterson in the St. George Temple for time and all eternity on December 30, 1969. He was welcomed into the World of Spirits and back to our Heavenly Father on August 10, 2015. He experienced an unexpected heart attack and passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, in the mountains.

He graduated from East High School in Salt Lake City and Dixie College in St. George. He enjoyed playing football for both schools. While attending Dixie College, he joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and remained an active member throughout his life.

He served as a missionary in the Great Lakes Mission (1967-1969). He has served in numerous Church callings, the most recent being an Ordinance Worker in the St. George Temple. He was passionate about his family and Family History research.

He held the position of Bookstore Director at Southern Utah University for over 40 years. He was active in horseshoe pitching since his childhood, winning the Utah State Championship and participating in many NHPA World Tournaments. He established the Southern Utah Horseshoe Pitchers Association and was honored to serve as its president over the last 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father William Thomas Edwards and his infant brother Ronald Ohms.

He was a loving Husband, Papa, Grandpa, Uncle Denny, and Friend and will be missed by all who knew him. We look forward to being with him again.
