Word has been sent to the Lynn Alvis Patterson family of the death of their son Sgt.Todd Houston Patterson on 22 July 1944. Todd was a waist gunner on a B 17 bomber.
They were on a mission over Germany when the plane was shot down by the German Luftwaffe. The air force squadron was stationed in England at Bassingborn Airfield. Sgt. Patterson had been in England since early June. Todd is survived by his wife, Emily Gentry Patterson, a daughter Penny, His father, Lynn Alvis Patterson, mother Anna Augusta Johansson Patterson. Two brothers Francis and Jack. Two sisters Jean and Beverly.
