Thomas Hunter Urie

Thomas Hunter Urie, age 86 passed away on November 28, 2015. He was born on September 3, 1929 in Cedar City, Utah to Moroni James and Mary Williams Hunter Urie. Tom graduated from Cedar City High School. Was a member of BPOE 1556, served in the US Army. He married Dorothy Secrist (later divorced). Later married Charlotte Rowberry and spent many wonderful years together.
He loved spending time on the Family Ranch on Cedar Mountain. As a young boy he enjoyed helping Clark Brothers with their Sheep.

Michael Joseph Gannam

My great uncle, Michael J. Gannam died June 10, 2003, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Savannah to Karam and Annie Gannam and was a communicant of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Uncle Mike graduated from Benedictine Military School in 1941 and served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in the South Pacific during World War II. He attended Armstrong Junior College and received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia in 1948.

Jack Dwayne Sears

Jack Dwayne Sears was born to Charles Edward Sears and Susie Marie Frye on June 21, 1931. The family eventually moved to Florida where Jack spent most of his life, before he eventually moving to Effingham, South Carolina where he passed away on January 11, 2007. He is interred at Florence Memorial Gardens in Florence, South Carolina.

Jack was survived by a spouse, Rosemary E. Weaver Sears who went to join him on April 6, 2013. She is interred with him.

Marie Christiansen

Marie Christiansen passed away on November 11, 2015. She courageously battled the effects of multiple sclerosis for 42 years but did not let that define her. Marie was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was a dear neighbor and friend to many and an advocate for those with disabilities, the poor, and the marginalized.

Gordon Williams

Gordon Williams passed away on Veterans Day November 11, 2015 in St. George, Utah at the age of 99. Gordon was born in Kanarraville, Utah February 26, 1916 to Noel B. Williams and Samantha Ahlena Parker Williams, second to the oldest of 8 children.He learned to work hard at a young age helping his dad build several family homes, taking care of cattle and doing farming. He attended school through the 8th grade in Kanarraville. He attended High School at the Branch Normal College graduating in 1933 in Cedar City. He met and married Carel Prince August 15,1936.

Ronald LaVerne Burrow, age 87, passed away on November 12, 2015 in Cedar City, UT. He was born on July 22, 1928 to Charles and Ethel Arnold Burrow in Plymouth Township, Rock County, Wisconsin.
Ronald married Ethel Mae Schulze on March 8, 1947 in Orfordville, WI and they had one daughter Lynda.

Donna Jean Dalton Mitchell

Donna Jean Dalton Mitchell passed away October 28, 2015 in Parowan, Utah at age 87. The family will be forever grateful to Reyes and Kacie Carballo for providing her with a beautiful space in their home at the farm, where she wanted to be, and such loving and tender care during the last part of her sojourn. Donna Jean was born September 4, 1928 in Cedar City, Utah to Harrell Warren Dalton and Alice Elvira Howell as the oldest of three children.

Edma Wiscombe Brown

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Edna Wiscombe Brown, left this mortal existence in Beaver, Utah on October 23, 2015 at the age of 94. She was the daughter of James Newland Wiscombe and Nellie Weight Wiscombe of Mapleton Utah. Edna attended Mapleton Grade School and graduated from Springville High School. Following graduation, she attended Brigham Young University for two years. She married Thales C. Brown on November 5, 1941 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple on May 18, 1946.

Sherry Lynn Jenkins Bohman

Sherry Lynn Jenkins Bohman was born to Thomas Jenkins and LaVon Millar Jenkins on November 12, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. With a cattle dealer for a Dad and a registered nurse for a mother, she was raised mostly on a farm, and with her two younger brothers, she rode horses and helped herd cattle. Because of her agricultural background and her involvement in ranching, she was chosen Intermountain Appaloosa Club Queen in 1964.

William W. Roylance

William W. Roylance Sr., 89, of Albany, passed away at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center on Friday, November 6, 2015. Bill was born in Saratoga Springs and raised in Cohoes. He attended Cohoes High School, and joined the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving in the South Pacific. After the war he completed high school and was employed by Montgomery Wards and the A&P Bakery. He was then employed by the U.S. Post Office in Albany, retiring after 26 years. Bill was an avid reader and card player, and enjoyed writing and drawing.

Dennis Ray Ohms

Dennis Ray Ohms was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 22, 1945 to Raymond Henry and Helen Arlene Barr Ohms. He married Carol Ann Peterson in the St. George Temple for time and all eternity on December 30, 1969. He was welcomed into the World of Spirits and back to our Heavenly Father on August 10, 2015. He experienced an unexpected heart attack and passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, in the mountains.
