Michael E. Murphy (65) of Fort Pierce Florida, beloved husband and best friend of Linda (Zimmers) Murphy for 44 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by the ones he laughed with, lived for, and loved at the Treasure Coast Hospice on July 27, 2016.
Mike served in the United States Army and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He worked as a lineman for First Energy in Youngstown and Toledo, Ohio. Mike and Linda moved to Fort Pierce, Florida after retirement in 2012. Mike was liked by everyone and touched the hearts of many. He is remembered for his sense of humor and kindness.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Linda, his two daughters Melinda Bolbach and Cheryl Murphy, his son-in-law Jeff Bolbach, and granddaughter Delaney Bolbach. He is also survived by his sister Ogarette Colella, brothers Patrick (May) Murphy and Robert (Marilyn) Murphy. He was preceded in death by his sister Betty Jo Batisky and parents Harry and Doris Murphy.
Mike enjoyed serving his community and volunteering to feed the indigent population. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, you make a donation to your community homeless shelter in Mike’s name.
