Rodney was the son of Georgia (Buchan) and Rodney Bruce Dann Sr.
Rodney was the second child and only son in a family of three children.
Rodney Dann Jr, was a very inventive and imaginative person. He had a passion for fishing and when the plastic worms available for fresh water fishing did not meet his criteria, he decided to make his own. He borrowed some start up money from his mother, Georgia Dann, and turned his garage into a work shop. He called the worms "Culprit" and the name of his company was Classic Manufacturing. The demand for Culprit worms took off. Rodney moved his business to a manufacturing facility in Clermont, FL. In 1983 while on a fishing tournament, Rodney lost his life when his boat flipped in a storm.
