Kathryn Poss Harris passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at her residence in Williston. She was 86 years old.

Dr. William Richards Neblett Jr., died recently. He was 79.
Bill Neblett was born on October 4th 1934 and grew up in Key West, Florida. He graduated from Key West High School in 1952 and went on to study at Florida State University where he earned his master’s degree. He then received a Ph.D.in philosophy at UCLA, where he was a Fulbright Scholar at the London School of Economics.

Martin Thomas Ricket, son of Harold Nelson Ricket and Madeline Haas, was born on November 1, 1926 in Oberlin, Ohio. He served in the United States Navy from 1945-1946. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Ricket, and grandson Brent Allen Ricket. He died on July 25, 2006 in Orlando, FL and will be buried in Chapel Hill Cemetery. He came to Florida with his wife Doris and four children in the summer of 1964. He was a retired sheet metal worker.

R. H. French, 79, Retired Professor, Buried Tuesday [May 30, 1978]
Funeral services for Raymond Holliday French, 79, were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at T.D. Marks Funeral Home, Warsaw, with interment in Henderson United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hyacinth. A retired professor of chemistry at Longwood College, Mr. French died Friday, May 26, in Orlando, Fla.
Affectionately known as “Charlie Hop” by the Longwood students and friends, Mr. French was honored by the college in naming the student activities building for him. The French building has now been converted to a dormitory.

The world lost a true original on Friday, May 17th, 2013. Lewis Andrews Sutherland passed away peacefully with his family telling funny stories & sharing memories by his side. Depending on how you knew him, you may have called him Pop, Andy, Lou, Jesse Charles, JC, or even Left Reverend. His interests as well as his potential names were vast. During his ample life he was a "Legitimate Business Man", actor, bongo player, standup comedian, music lover, grass mower, hole-in-one golfer, and constant practical jokester.

Neil Joseph Fischer, son of John George Fischer and Catherine Margaret Gildea, was born October 6, 1925 in Savannah, Georgia. The third of four children born to Johnny and Katie Fischer, Neil was baptized at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Savannah, served as an altar boy at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, and attended Marist School for Boys.

Dorothy E. Lumley Melrose was born on August 26, 1900 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Clinton S. and Nellie. M.
She was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Illinois in 1921, majoring in chemistry. In 1924, Lumley married Henry Bascom Melrose and they had 2 children, Robert L. and Kendrick B. In 1934, the Melrose family moved to Orlando from Jacksonville.
In the 1940s and 1950s, Mrs. Melrose taught mathematics, English, and public speaking at Memorial Junior High School.
