John Vanderwater Whiting (Jack), 82, of Fern Park, died Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at home with his wife and children.
Born Dec. 7, 1934 in Queens, New York, he came to St. Pete, FL at age 11. After graduating high school, he joined the Navy and served aboard the USS Renville during the Korean War.

Wilbert M. "Bill" Epoch, 86, died Saturday, January 10, 2004 at Highline Care Center.
Bill was born in Everett to Wilbert and Ida Mae (Murphy) Epoch. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1935. During his 31 year career, he served on a total of 17 ships including the USS Indianapolis. He fought in the Pacific during WWII and in the Korean Conflict rising to rank of Chief Warrant Officer (W-4). Bill sailed around the world seven times including the north and south poles.

Ruth was born on August 24, 1918 to Mila Bell and George Harrison Turbett. After her father passed away, Mila married Theodore Brubaker.
Ruth was a lifelong resident of Des Moines and active member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church. She graduated from North High School in 1936 and maintained many long-term friendships with her classmates.

Joyce Ann Dillenbeck was born Joyce Ann Rudd in Wayland, New York on March 20, 1959. She passed away at 6:01 p.m. on August 9, 2017 in Orlando, Florida.
My name is Kenneth Dillenbeck, Joyce and I were together for 23 years. We got married on August 4, 2015, in Rochester, New York.
She worked in a homeless mission for over 20 years. Joyce had a stroke on April 2, 2017 and suffered a lot.
She was a wonderful lady. She loved people.
I will miss her.

Mrs. Sally Marilyn Witty Butcher, 47, of Pleasant Plains died at 2:30 a.m., May 26, 1971, at Peace Haven Nursing home in St. Louis County.
Mrs. Butcher was born in Springfield, the daughter of Talvi Viola Purvines Witty and George Edwin Witty. She was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist, Springfield Junior League, Chi Omega Sorority, PEO and Margaret Garfield Circle of King's Daughters.

Funeral Services for Arthur Waite Shook, 74, of 504 Main Street, Kissimmee, were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday from the Grissom Chapel, with the Rev. B. B. Williams, minister of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Casketbearers were Legionnaires Lloyd Cohenour, George Gegenheimer, George S. Lewis, Leonard J. Lisi, William C. May and William W. Parker. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery. Presentation of the flag was courtesy Makinson-Carson Post Number 10, American Legion. Grissom Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ray passed away at age 66, a Tuesday, July 13th 2010 at Middlesex Hospital with his children by his side. he was the oldest son of Ovedia Johnson Jensen of Kenmare, ND and the late Raymond O. Jensen. Ramon was born in Kenmare on April 17, 1944. He attende Kenmare schols and was a 1962 graduate of the high school. His first name is a family tradition of being either Raymond or Ramon rather than using a junior to distinguish father and son.

William Middleton (Billy) Walker, Jr., passed away peacefully at his home in Sharps, Virginia on May 25th, 2017. Billy was born on November 4, 1931 in Richmond, Virginia and was the only son of William M. Walker, Sr. and Margaret Shackleford Walker and devoted husband of Barbara English Walker.
After graduating from Warsaw high School in 1948, he attended Randolph Macon College in Ashland, Virginia, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Billy excelled in both basketball and baseball where he was named the captain of the Virginia All State baseball team twice.

James C. Robinson, Jim, passed away May 28, 2017. Born on July 19, 1922, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, his family moved to Orlando in 1925 in answer to a note to Jim's dad, J C Robinson, from a friend who had moved to Orlando in 1926; "come on down to the promised land". Jim attended Hillcrest, Delaney, Cherokee Jr. High and Orlando High School. In the summer of 1939, he was invited by Betty Thornton to go on a boat trip with her and her friends. It was the beginning of a long relationship.

Joel Van Fears, Sr., the youngest of seven children, was born on August 10, 1938 in Lufkin, Texas, to Jonathan T. Fears, Sr., and Belma Denman Fears, both deceased. Fears, a U.S. Navy veteran, retired from NASA, John F. Kennedy Space Center, after 30 years as an electrical engineer and project manager. After retirement, he was employed halftime for three years at Daytona Beach Community College, now Daytona State College.

Jose L. Lopez, 77, passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2017. He is survived by his son Alex and daughter Olivia and their spouses Monica and Rusty as well as his grandchildren Alexandra, Spencer, and Nicholas, his cousin Nena and other family and dear friends.
Jose was born in Chapara, Cuba, and came to the United States in the 1960's. During his life he spent much of his time involved in the arts. He retired from the Orange County Library System, Orlando FL.

Karin passed away April 29, 2010 after a brief illness. She is survived by mother Linda S Hall, brother Tony Lewis, half brothers Kendall and Bobby Lewis and half sister Sherri Lewis. A son TJ Childs and Brandon Hall, and several neices and nehews. And a very special person in her life, Timmy Childs. Karin was a happy child and loved her family. She turned into a beautiful, caring young woman.
