David Leo Liles, 63,of Casselberry, Florida, succumbed to cancer at The Hospice of the Comforter surrounded by his family on July 20, 2016.
David is survived by his wife Christy of 42 years, daughter Jennifer Liles (39), sons Joshua Liles (32), Jordan (29) (Lauren, 27) Liles, grandchildren Emma (9), Noah (7), Bella (5), Sawyer (2), Christopher (3 months), nieces, nephews, cousins and many family friends.

Bertha Garcia Kaiser passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016. A native of Tampa, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rex Kaiser; parents, Manuel and Adalia Garcia; brothers, Rene Garcia and Manuel Garcia. She is survived by her brother, Robert F. Garcia, Sr. (Mary), and sisters, Zenaida Borrell and Adalia Davila; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and friends. Bertha retired from Sears, Roebuck & Company, as a credit manager. She greatly loved her family, friends, and animals, especially her cats. She enjoyed creating crafts of all kinds.

Mae Ridenour, 73, of Piqua went to be with her Lord on Monday, May 4, 2015, at 7:59 a.m. at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit, Troy. She was born on March 4, 1942, in Huntsville, Tenn., to the late Virgil and Versie (Burress) Cross. She married Tom Ridenour on June 10, 1977, in Piqua. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2003.

Philip Saraf, was a well-known Savannah artist and chef, beloved brother, uncle, cousin, mentor and friend. Uncle Philip passed away peacefully June 9, 2016, at Hospice House in Savannah, surrounded by family and friends. He was 86 years of age. The Mass of Christian Burial was held June 14 in St. James Catholic Church.

Reynaldo Chaves was born on July 3, 1935. His parents were Juan Francisco Chaves and Cándida De La Cruz. He had five brothers and sisters: Carlos, Laura, Andrea, Ada and María.
When he was a teen during the Korean War he was stationed in Korea and Japan. He was not a part of any battle, but he had lots of stories to tell about his stay there.

Cándida De La Cruz Santiago was born in Isabela, Puerto Rico on January 5, 1917. She was the daughter of José Ramón De La Cruz y Rodríguez and Adela Santiago y Vega. They had four children: Jose Ramón (Pepín), María Teresa (Tere), Luz Elena and Cándida (Canda or Candita).
Cándida married Juan Francisco Chaves on September 15, 1934. They had six children: Carlos, Laura, Reynaldo, Andrea, Ada and María.

Juan Francisco Chaves was born on June 23, 1899 in Isabela, Puerto Rico. His paternal grandfather Gonzalo García-Chaves y Lopez was born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. Gonzalo moved his family to Puerto Rico sometime in the mid 1800s. Juan Francisco's paternal Grandmother Maria Higinia (Juana) Reverón Mena was born in Caracas Venezuela. Gonzalo and Maria met sometime during the mid 1800s in Isabela, Puerto Rico and married.

I’ve been blessed to have had such an amazing Father. Dad was one whom you couldn’t help but admire and respect. His meekness and kindness made you stand in awe. He stood firm in his faith and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He did not live life on his own terms, but whole-heartily surrender fully to the will of God and being guided by the Holy Spirit. Your greatest gift to us was not only your unconditional love for your family but your personal testimony on how God healed you of Hodgkin Lymphoma Cancer at the age of 24, that had metastasis. You were given 4-6 months to live.
